How To: Login as server admin and add users
Connecting to your mumble server as superadmin

  • open mumble on your pc
  • goto "server - connect"
  • select "add new"
  • enter your server details, for username enter "SuperUser"
  • click "connect"
  • there will be a box that asks for password, enter your superuser password, and you should now be in your mumble server
Note: you cannot speak in mumble when logged in as superUser



Creating admin accounts

First create a user account that you will change to an admin account
  • Login to your mumble server with a normal username
  • When on the server, right click your username and click "register", select "yes" to are you sure you want to register yourself
  • an "A" will now be shown next to your username on the right
Second login as SuperUser and assign the user account admin priviledges
  • Login as SuperUser
  • right click the root channel and select "edit"
  • goto the "groups" tab
  • under the "group" text is a drop down box, select "admin"
  • at the bottom left under the "members" box , to the left of the "add" button, in the drop down box enter your username (the one you created earlier) and then click the "add" button
  • you will see your username in the members box now, this is the "admin" members for your mumble server
  • click the "ok" box on the botton right
  • disconnect from the server, now login as your normal user account and you will see you now have admin priviledges
